gluko and lennon
i really liked this animation, it was fun and bright and amused me a lot, i think the representation of characters is amazing and i was really drawn in. the animation is in 3D but appears as 2d due to the luminosity on the characters and objects.
tyger
http://vimeo.com/6787244
a 3d animation using live action objects and a mixture of 2d animations. a live action tyger puppet is being moved around a city by two people represented in black shilouettes. throughout computer generated animation appears throughout in the 3d enviroment changing and morphing as the tyger travels in the city. i don't like this animation very much, i think it was more the loud noises that put me off then visual elements.
logorama
http://vimeo.com/10149605
a 3d animation using logos as real objects of interaction with characters also created from logos. its smart and a good was of using existing images as a base idea for a full animation. its funny because of what we already think of the logos or know about them. its funny for us to see something we know being used in different means.
hell
http://vimeo.com/3985419
a weird video. i don't like it at all, its just weird and the noise is vile. the creatures with the changing face are also very creepy. the narritive is bizzare too, a cat head floating out of a volcano seeming to release walt disney.
octocat
http://vimeo.com/1690174
an irritating animation. the sound in it makes me not want to watch it. the frames are eused and erased each time then drawn over giving it a messy hand drawn look to it. its kind of visually charming. however the audio practically makes it unwatchable.
