Inspirational Artist

i really enjoy the unusual stylization in the linework of this piece of artwork. its a reoccurring theme amongst her artwork. the linework is very delicate and faint yet holds some strength amongst the image because of its unusual and sporadic change in forms from sharp edgy lines to circles and curls in shapes. furthermore the waif delicacy in the lines is further prominent by the anatomy of the hands, they seem to be almost broken and withered. i cannot decide weather or not i like this feature to her artwork.

judging from the changing gradient of the linework throughout this image i can only presume that she has used a screen or overlay filter on top of her linework layer. this means that she could have done all of the linework in one solid color then later on by using this feature she can freely alter her line color without disturbing the rest of the artwork.

i think what i enjoy the most about this piece is the very simplistic coloring of the artwork. it seems to be complicated but that just the shaded linework, the background coloring is practically just block color accompanied by a texture layer that takes the plainness away

i think one of the main reasons i enjoy this artwork is because its visuals are very close to that of Japanese artist yoshitaka amano, and Ive always followed and enjoyed his work, though his would be the traditional version compared to this digital piece.
